Am I the only one who thinks Takagi is being a little spiteful here? She’s really excited to share something with Nishikata, but (for once) doesn’t seem to pay attention to the fact that he’s freaking out with her standing that close and touching his hands. So he gives up and tosses the hook and yarn to the side. Her response? Instead of telling him it’s okay, they can try again some other time, she mocks him for being embarrassed and laughs at him. Then on top of that, she messes with his head over who the scarf is for. Who calls a 15-year-old dog a boy? She does. Why? Because she knows it hurts him.
