-Jinshi is not an eunuch -Jinshi is officially the brother of the emperor -Jinshi is Aaduo’s son (and thus, actually the son of the Emperor) -Maomao has lived in the palace previously, when very young -She is the daughter of a noble, high official, probably illegitimate -So, her apothecary father is not her father -She probably rejected her true father, who is bound to be a loser with a rank, or maybe a guy who fell from grace -This will zend up in romance with Jinshi, and their respective complicated status and rank will serve as a foil.
