I just got done reading Wan Gu Shen Wang. The worst translation I have ever seen. This is paradise compared to that. Give it a try you will understand lol.
I have read the novel and I totally understand why this first chapter is like this, if they adapted it like the novel, it would take like 10 chapters to get to this point. The novel has too much explanations about every little thing, and yeah, it works for a novel, but for a manhua it would be too much.

For something with a senien tag I would hope the characters would be older. Hopefully there is some time skips.
