Simple , the story has gone on long enough to start introducing the rest of the universe so that our MC can show his master he can reach the top again by his own right . Clearly his master foresaw everything that would happen , therefore sent him back in time to do it over again . I’d say that the author suddenly remembered his first chapters and is trying so hard to to everything together , but it’s crap . There was clearly no real planning behind what’s going on here
