well as im aware he liked cecilia and hated grand duke house cause they had alot of power. And in the past life if u will… cecillia was posioned by the grand duke so veronica would take over //// having lost the one he loved and now forced to marry with the house he disliked meaning his son would be part of the family he dislikes aswell giving it more power made him dislike her in past life. at least is what i understand of it
