So… just going to point out that this is probably a game world… There’s a book out there called Orc is Strong, which is a full dive MMORPG and the main character chooses to be an orc. The more he falls in line with Orc ideals, the more his assimilation raises, however, it it ever gets above 95% there’s a chance he’ll never come back to himself. If we use that as an example, we can assume that MC-kun here is someone who chose to be a skelleton and accidently went overboard with his assimilation and he’s slowly desyncing now. It would explain his respawn mechanics, his game like abilities and how the NPCs choose to not acknowledge anything weird he says.
fuck… this comment makes too much sense… the Orc we saw earlier was that Orc but his rate got too high and that disabled his respawn mechanic… that’s why it took so much to control him…
