I’m not super huge on the weird “punishment” of being brainwashed into becoming acearo for failing the task. I can understand why it’s there and how the system would come to that conclusion, but it’s a bit off putting to make it seem negative or like a loss in general, especially since many people identify as aroace naturally. That, and if the system can just brainwash it’s host, then it shouldn’t have had so many failures – mentioned in the early chapters – since surely it’d just brainwash those people to make them succeed? The system must be getting something in return for giving these kids powers after all, right?
