Actually Vanitas is that sort of person that drives me nuts, when you avoid telling people what you feel or what is bothering you, although you are there and all you want to do is help. You know, I can really understand Noe.
I believe Vanitas wasn’t the one who killed Luna, from the way he said in this chapter it seems he could never kill someone or any vampires although he wanted to. Also sorry for making this whole comment section a mess my apologies lol
I have a theory in what happened 1. Vanitas killed luna cause instead of from what the stories have said about luna she may have been saving the vampires in the shadows hence why she created the book of vanitas and maybe the vampire royals have just created a story to cover up naenias/the queen’s actions when he finds out lunas actions he kills her because as a kid he wanted to kill All the vampires and him thinking luna (form the stories) was someone who can help him achieve his goal probably backfired as he finds out she was saving them instead of killing them which may have lead vanitas to kill luna then realises luna was a kind vampire and not all vampires are the same as the ones who killed his parents and so he takes on lunas mission in saving the vampires and he eventually seeks vengeance on lunas death towards “vanitas” /naenia. But this theory Is flawed as a few chapters before this one we see vanitas saying throughout his whole life he’s been trying to erase lunas existence when mikhail was talking about resurrecting father/luna so this 100% confirms he kills luna but we just don’t know why
