That was one of the worst fight sequences I’ve ever seen. Having only one spell per level already greatly limits the quality of the fights since he just spams his strongest attack 90% of the time, but cutting away to lightning in the sky not once, but twice, is absurdly lazy and just leaves the reader confused since the first time he used thunderbolt it didn’t seem to do jack shit to the apes that are still just standing around unhurt.
