Did the family seriously not even every force her to show every fucking element she could use when she supposedly came back? They’re a super rich and powerful family. Did they seriously not think that maybe someone might want to get into the family for nefarious reasons? Did they just look at a woman burned head to toe and go, yup, my wife was caught in a fire so clearly this must be the same person. This is so fucking infuriating how fucking stupid every person is in this novel. How the fuck can anyone feel any suspense or triumph or any emotion but utter irritation when every action that drives the plot forward is caused by dozens of people being blind zombies that can’t figure out Dora level mysteries.
