To the person calculating the tick damage, it’s highly likely he also hit the boss during this time, which would greatly speed up the process with that bonus damage. Therefore, it could actually have been three hours.
He wouldn’t need 11 days, since the weapon already does at least B-rank damage, on top of the tick damage. The Oni were just C-rank, meaning the first hit would’ve gotten rid of a considerable amount of their health.
